About Domaine Michel Lafarge
Biodynamic viticulture is the newest move at this Côte de Beaune domain, which was founded in the early nineteenth century in the village of Volnay. Michel Lafarge now collaborates heavily with his son Frederic. They began experimenting with biodynamic farming in 1997, and the entire 10 hectare domain has been farmed biodynamically since 2000. These efforts result in quintessentially elegant, sweet, well-delineated Pinot Noirs that are approachable in their youth but improve with cellaring. Lafarge has been a benchmark domain in this village for decades.
