About Trenel et Fils
Trenel et Fils, originally based in Charnay-les-Macon, is a fastidious, quality-driven négociant known for production of wines from both the Maconnais and Beaujolais (as well as fruit liqueurs from Burgundy). Their best Beaujolais bottlings combine brightness and cut with unusual richness of texture. The house was founded by Claude-Henri Trenel in 1928 and rose to prominence, particularly on restaurant wine lists, under his son, Andre Trenel. Today Trenel et Fils is managed by Hervè de Boissieu, with assistance from Andre's nephew, Bruno Chambe.
