Louis Latour’s Château Corton Grancey is a majestic estate, sitting just west of Burgundy’s famed Route 74 in one of the most blessed winegrowing locations on Earth. But Corton Grancey is more than Latour’s historic home on the tiny Rue des Corton. It’s also one of their most sought-after bottlings.  

A blend of five Grand Cru vineyards in the Corton AOC—Bressandes, Perrières, Grèves, Clos du Roi, and Chaumes—Latour’s Château Corton-Grancey is a majestic Burgundy that stands with the absolute finest single-site Grand Crus. 

The 2018, 2019, and 2020 Château Grancey put three spectacular Burgundy vintages on display: Decanter described the respective seasons as an “all-time great,” “hedonistic,” and “exceptional.” Rich and layered Grand Cru fruit, gorgeous spice, and a supple texture characterizes every one of these wines, which are stunning now but poised to deliver value and pleasure for the next decade and beyond. 

We are always honored to be invited to Château Corton Grancey, Louis Latour’s home base in Aloxe-Corton. The estate, which is not open to the public, dates back to 1749 and has been in the Latour family since 1891. From Grancey, you can see all five Grand Cru sites that deliver grapes for this bottling, and it was in the Grancey cellar that we tasted the wines in this vertical tous ensemble and committed to bringing an exclusive allocation back to our members.
