SET: 2017 Dutton-Goldfield Pinot Noir Bundle 750 ml

Dutton-Goldfield enjoys unmatched adoration among Wine Access members. They earned it by making consistently exquisite wines from some of the top sites in Sonoma County.

We’re thrilled that the team at D-G gave us unprecedented access to their cellar, which yielded this set of three library Pinot Noirs—all grown on marquee Dutton-Goldfield vineyards in an outstanding vintage, all bearing impressive 95-point scores from Wine Enthusiast. These wines have been cellared, untouched, at the Dutton-Goldfield winery since bottling, and they are drinking perfectly right now. 

The 2017 Dutton-Goldfield Pinot Noir Redwood Ridge Sonoma Coast was grown on a 32-acre vineyard above Annapolis. D-G has been sourcing fruit there since 2013, and the site, located just six miles from the ocean, enjoys a long growing season, which gives the vines plenty of time to produce small, thick-skinned berries. What results are wines of beautiful tannins and plush texture. 

From the Green Valley of Russian River, the 2017 Emerald Ridge Pinot hails from a site that was planted on Goldridge sandy loam soils in 2001. This vineyard really hit its stride in 2009, and since then it has been producing one of D-G’s most celebrated single-vineyard offerings. 

The 2017 Dutton-Goldfield Fox Den Vineyard Pinot Noir comes from a site that Dan Goldfield and Steve Dutton planted together in 2002. The eight-acre vineyard, which sits atop Stoetz ridge on the western edge of the Green Valley appellation, is split between Pinot Noir clones 667, 777, and 115, and the wines it produces are renowned for their tremendous silky texture. 

This is a set to celebrate and savor. When it comes to California Pinot, you simply can’t do better.
