Blanc de Blancs at Its Best
Guy Larmandier is a tiny Champagne house. They farm just 9 hectares that span across the prestigious Grand Cru village of Cramant, producing barely 4,000 cases of wine each year.
Larmandier, founded in 1977, is a jewel in the crown of importer Neal Rosenthal, who has worked with them since 1982. Tending old-vine Chardonnay in the heart of Cramant, Guy Larmandier produces exceptional Champagne with all the refinement, precision, and crystalline purity that has made this Grand Cru village legendary. It's no wonder this cuvée has found its way onto the wine lists of such acclaimed establishments as Birdsong in San Francisco, Commander's Palace in New Orleans, Atlas in Atlanta, and Fiola in Washington DC.
Their Cramant Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut Zero is sourced exclusively from their Grand Cru parcels, sustainably farmed, hand-harvested, and given extended aging on the lees to develop complexity while maintaining remarkable tension. As is traditional for great Blanc de Blancs, the wine is fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness and purity, with zero dosage added to showcase the natural richness of perfectly ripe Cramant Chardonnay.
