“Wines That Linger in My Memory”

Wine Access VP of Wine Eduardo Dingler doesn’t settle for enjoyable. He’s after unforgettable. As a wine judge and the former Global Beverage Director for the Morimoto Group—where he curated Napa’s most coveted wines for a worldwide audience—he’s evaluated thousands of bottles. But his favorites are the ones so contemplative and complex that they forever etch themselves in his mind.

“I look for wines that are reflective of the site and provide an intellectual experience,” he says. “Wines that linger in my memory, along with the company I shared them with.” For this set, Eduardo selected six bottles that each hold real estate in his head—provocative wines that will please every palate in the room.

At each wine’s SRP, the set would go for $392. Here, they’re $228—that’s 42% off. For six wines hand-picked by a highly decorated expert, it doesn’t get much better.

2014 Ayala Blanc de Blancs Brut Champagne

Ayala’s 2014 Blanc de Blancs sits atop Wine Spectator’s 2014 vintage Champagne ratings, besting big-time bottles from Pierre Peters, Philipponnat, and Gimonnet. Crafted from pristine Côte des Blancs Chardonnay from Grand Cru and Premier Cru villages, it’s mineral, aromatic, and laser-focused.

2015 Mazzei Castello di Fonterutoli Siepi Toscana

Capitalizing on the vintage of a lifetime, this legendary Chianti Classico family leveraged centuries of local wisdom to create a 98-point icon. It’s a monument to the modern Super Tuscan style.

2019 Highlands Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Napa Valley

Member-favorite Highlands has crafted some of the best-selling Cabernets in Wine Access history. Authored by the legendary duo of Paul Segas and Dave Cofran, this bottle could go another 15 years in the cellar or be the hit of a dinner party next week.

2019 La Colombera Cortese Bricco Bartolomeo Colli Tortonesi DOC

La Colombera’s Cortese keeps disappearing out of the fridge—with a vivacity to rival Sancerre or Grüner Veltliner, it’s a perfect partner for anything that wants crisp white wine. Boasting astounding complexity and personality, this is one of our finds of the year.

2018 Domaine Boris Champy Altitude Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Beaune

Former Clos des Lambrays winemaker Boris Champy now creates Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Pinots that “frankly rewrote everything I thought possible,” according to Vinous’ Neal Martin.

Minenohakubai King of Modern Light Junmai Ginjo Niigata (Yellow)

It took two years, more than 30,000 miles in the air, and 16 generations for one of the best sakes we’ve ever tasted to make it stateside. It was worth the wait.
