Destined to Impress Any Holiday Table This Season

With its cornucopia of flavors, Thanksgiving wines need to do double (or triple) duty by satisfying every palate and pairing with every imaginable flavor. Our Thanksgiving set does it all: cleanses the palate, elevates every bite from turkey to marshmallow-covered sweet potatoes, and includes top-rated, rare finds that are destined to impress on any table.

2018 Tinpot Hut Sauvignon Blanc (retail: $24)
Tinpot Hut is a gregarious, exuberant white with acidity and verve to spare, and a Wine Access member rating with countless perfect, 5-Star reviews. Bursting with fresh, exotic citrus—pineapple, ruby red grapefruit, and guava, Tinpot Hut is a perfect addition to the Thanksgiving table because its bright acidity helps it move seamlessly across dishes with varying flavors. Unlike full-bodied whites, this Sauvignon Blanc fuses freshness with clean, zippy minerality making it a perfect match with tart cranberry-topped turkey and decadent, gravy-covered side dishes.

2015 Georges Duboeuf Jean-Ernest Descombes Cote du Py Morgon (retail: $20)
The Georges Duboeuf Descombes Côte du Py is something special: Notes of dried flowers, fresh herbs, wild fruit, and exotic spice dance off one another on the nose before folding into a generous, mouthwatering palate. Savory tones meet dark fruit, the layers of flavor unfolding amidst firm tannins on the long finish and proving that Beaujolais wines certainly can be serious.
While seriously complex, this Beaujolais has featherweight tannins and understated fruit tones, which help it pair well from appetizers through dessert.

2006 Hidden Ridge Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County (retail: $97)
Wine Access loyalists have made Hidden Ridge a gold standard for aged mountain Cabernet Sauvignons, driving sellouts that eventually gave us access to this crimson release, which we hand-picked from the cool cellars of Hidden Ridge. After 13 years of cellaring, its powerful tannins have mellowed into velvety softness, which makes this release the rare Cabernet that’s able to support and enhance (rather than overpower) the delicate nuances of roasted turkey, herbed stuffings, and savory side dishes.
