NV Moet Et Chandon White Star 750 ml

  I am typically an old world red wine drinker, big bold, chewy, dusty, cabs, grand cru's are my favorite. But when I choose champagne, I absolutely love Moet White Star. Among all champagnes I have tried, it is absolutely my favorite. Clean and crisp on the palate, White Star lacks the tartness of a brute or the candiness of a Spumante. I have tried Dom at $150 a bottle and find it tart, overpriced, and displeasing. For roughly $40, White Star is my favorite champagne amongst a host of other choices. I love the clean taste, and this is the one I come back to again and again.

  I'm not a wine drinker, but I have found that I do like champagne. I found it very drinkable. I would purchase it again, however I have a question for the experienced winos out there: What would you recommend that is similar or better that costs less (<$30) that I can find at my local liquor store if not my local megamart? I'd drink champagne more, but $30 is a bit steep for regular drinking and I don't know what to look for at the store.
