Champagne J.M. Labruyere Prologue Grand Cru Brut NV
The grapes for Labruyère’s Prologue hail from a Grand Cru vineyard that was a longtime source for Moët & Chandon’s Dom Pérignon—serious pedigree for the money. And it shows: A classic Pinot Noir-dominant blend with a pronounced array of berry, brioche and spice aromas, this is value brut at its best. Alluringly full-bodied, it’s also impressively crisp, dry, and succulent throughout. The chalky oyster-shell minerality on the finish evokes the Krugs, Bollingers and—yes, the Dom Pérignons—which remain closer flavor-profile cousins than most of Prologue’s price-point peers.

2018 Daniel Chotard Sancerre
Sancerre is the spiritual home of Sauvignon Blanc, and Daniel Chotard’s elegant, expressive 2018 is vibrant, aromatic, and giving with layers of citrus fruit that mingle with stony, river rock minerality, and white pepper. A crisp, delicious white, this Sancerre can find a place at the table beyond the classic French goat cheese; it will stand up to mussels in white wine, roasted corn, or seared langoustines with fresh herbs and olive oil.

2018 Prager Grüner Veltliner Federspiel Ried Hinter Der Burg
The best of Austria can mirror the density and tactile concentration of the greatest German producers, while harkening to the mineral tension of Montrachet. At under $30, this Prager does exactly that.

2014 Ferreira Late Bottle Vintage Porto Douro Valley Portugal
300 years of history and passion come through in every sip of this classic port, and sommeliers around the country are currently trying to get as much of it as they can as the holiday season approaches: On its own or alongside cheese or dessert, this is a wine to remember.

2017 Frederic Magnien Bourgogne Rouge
Red Burgundy of purity, grace, and power is harder than ever to find, but the 2016 Frédéric Magnien Bourgogne Rouge defies expectations. It’s easily one of the most accomplished, haunting red Burgundies we’ve offered all year. It’s a bright, juicy wine with aromas of black cherries, raspberries, and earth, and a palate singing with raspberries, blueberry jam, and baking spices.

2016 E. Guigal Saint-Joseph Rouge
Guigal’s 2016 Saint-Joseph is an undersung jewel from the true heart of the appellation. Grown on 20- to 50-year-old vines planted on steep vineyards heavy in decomposing granite, it packs an impressive amount of Northern Rhône character and power, for about half the price of one of Guigal’s Hermitage wines. Full of blackberry, black cherry, leather, smoked meats, and crushed peppercorn it’s a perfect impress-the-guests bottle without a triple-digit price.

2018 Bedrock Wine Company Old Vine Zinfandel California
Decidedly Californian in style, Heritage has a deliciously confident focus on expressing the historical land from which it comes—plenty of blackberry, black raspberry, and dark cherry, are framed by riveting notes of Herbes de Provence and seared meat. It’s the kind of wine that you keep reaching for, and that reveals new layers of flavor with every sip.

2016 Diego Conterno Baluma Langhe Nebbiolo Piedmont
Being born with the name “Conterno” in Barolo is like having the name Ferrari in Modena: It is Italian shorthand for class and high-quality. Today, that quality doesn’t come with a Ferrari-sized price, because Diego Conterno has mastered what the Italian automaker never will: combining quality and value in an unbeatable combination. The 2016 Baluma is our top value Nebbiolo diamond in the rough—a baby Barolo and new Italian love affair for Pinot Noir drinkers, and the chance to drink Italy’s best every night. Garnet in color, this violet and herb-laced red gives way to a medium-bodied, strawberry and cherry fruited wine.

2016 Chateau La Guirlande Languedoc
At Guirlande, they are bottling exactly what makes the Languedoc ground zero for rich, value reds: Mourvèdre, Carignan, and Grenache that ripen exquisitely under the bright sun. This purple-hued cornucopia of cassis, crushed raspberries, is laced with new leather and garrigue spice, and took home an impressive95 points at the Decanter World Wine Awards.

2018 Twomey Cellars Sauvignon Blanc Napa and Sonoma County
With a California legacy second to none, it’s no surprise that the family of Silver Oak has manages to bottle First-Growth quality and pedigree into Twomey’s $25 Sauvignon Blanc. This ‘18 is every bit as delicious as you’d expect, deftly marrying Napa richness with Sonoma’s precise elegance.

2016 Kinfolk Red Wine Reserve Napa Valley
The 2016 Kinfolk Reserve Red Wine Napa Valley is one of top wines ever bottled under the Kinfolk label, and crafted exclusively for Wine Access members. As is always the case with Kinfolk winemaker Britt Nichols’ member-favorite releases, we had to take a vow of silence and promise to never divulge where these spectacular grapes came from. One thing we can say is the 2016 Kinfolk Reserve Red hails from the same 100-point-scoring vineyard that had Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate gushing, “If I could give more than 100 for this one, I would.”

2006 Hidden Ridge Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County (Mortons Special Label)
Today’s 2006 Hidden Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon is a hyper-rare wine that embodies everything that makes its clamored-for successors such objects of cult admiration. In fact, we’ll go beyond that: This 13-year-old gem channels everything that makes mature California Cabernet such a benchmark around the world.
