    We are proud to present the newest vintage of Plinth, the exciting new project from the curious minds of Jason and Flora Chang, founders of NINE SUNS and Houyi Vineyard high atop Pritchard Hill! “

    “Plinth” means “column” or “support,” and the name is wonderfully apropos for Jason and Flora’s Cabernet project, built upon the glorious foundation (the “plinth”) of their Houyi Vineyard. Combined with powerful Cabernet from sites on the Valley floor, Plinth is poised to take center stage, with its brooding dark-fruit flavors, a gloriously complex palate, and powerful mountain tannins—there’s nothing this bottle doesn’t have!

    Handcrafted in one of the greatest Napa Valley vintages ever by NINE SUNS winemaker Lloyd Matthews, the wine is a perfect blend of powerful structure and graceful beauty. It opens with a volley of roasted cherries accented with cocoa powder, violets, and spiced plums. Smooth and full-bodied, it’s got layers and layers of rich fruit on the palate, all framed by firm yet satiny-soft tannins.
