It, just like the very first Hoopes-branded bottles, comes from the site that Spencer Hoopes purchased in 1981 and planted in 1983. For 15 years, the family sold all their Cabernet grapes, supplying some of the area’s most iconic wineries. Finally, in 1999, they decided to make their own Cabernet, and it quickly became the quality-benchmark it is today.
