Crafted by Pinot Noir Master Michael Browne

If we had to list our top names of the Russian River Valley, Michael Browne would be one of the first to come to mind. The Kosta Browne founder has been a staple in Sonoma since the 1990s, creating wines that have topped the Wine Spectator Top 100, and long been considered benchmarks for the region.

In 2009, Michael branched out and began his own passion project, CIRQ., referring to his early childhood circus career: He grew up in  a youth circus, focused on, mastering fire-eating, the unicycle,  and the trapeze. The man is never afraid to follow his heart, he began his CIRQ, with a focus on single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the most exceptional sites in the Russian River Valley.

Up to the 2016 vintage, Browne made two CIRQ.Pinots, Bootlegger's Hill and Treehouse Vineyard, and since 2017, he’s made one singular wine blended from the top Russian River Valley sites. CIRQ. has captured the attention of sommeliers and collectors around the world, and kept us all on the edge of our seats, looking for the latest release!

This bottling is an exciting new act for CIRQ. It is the first vintage that draws on Michael’s ability to blend and craft a true expression of a vintage. It is a combination of the best available sites in the Russian River Valley, showing lush beauty. Or as Jeb Dunnuck puts it “awesome tannins, no hard edges, and just a plush, sexy style that begs to be drunk.”
