2015 Castellucci Cabernet Sauvignon Fern Rock Vineyard Spring Mountain District Napa Valley 750 ml

When we got the keys to the Castellucci cellar, we discovered some of the finest Napa Valley library wines we’d had in years. 

Their 2015 Fern Rock Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon was grown on the family’s vineyard in the Spring Mountain District. This steep, dramatic site—which sits high on the mountain, a winding drive up from St. Helena—has grown grapes since the 19th century. The current vines were planted in 1993, and now, the high-elevation terraced vines give off Cabernet with remarkably concentrated fruit and stout yet refined structure. 

Founded by Italian immigrant and property magnate Antonio Castellucci—a true American success story—the Castellucci family has owned and farmed land in Napa Valley for over 20 years. They own 50 acres spread over prime sites in the Spring Mountain, Carneros, Rutherford, and St. Helena AVAs. The vineyards are managed by Antonio’s son Marco and his team, who give them rapt attention year-round.

This stunning Cabernet, from one of the top vintages in the last decade, is drinking beautifully right now. A perfect Napa Valley time capsule to uncork and enjoy with friends and family!
