Produced from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in Champagne’s hallowed Le Mesnil-Sur-Oger Grand Cru it boasts a “wealth of intensity,” and “will age for years,” according to Wine Enthusiast. Compared to major Champagne houses, Salon’s production is small, making their sparkling beauties a rarity. Particularly so in the terrific 2006 vintage in which Salon poured its heart and soul fully into the vintage, doing something almost unheard of — rather than blend in reserve wine from previous vintage, thier 2006 is 100% from the vintage.

Antonio Galloni’s Vinous called 2006 “a year of powerful, rich, explosive wines” from Champagne and pinned 94+ points on the vintage.
