Differences Are What Drive Us

Every Palate is Different.
And Every Palate is Welcome.

Embracing a Culture Founded on Diversity

Wine is one of the most diverse products on earth, produced around the globe by people from every country, ethnicity, race, culture, and creed. The wine world is driven forward by innovators who channel their unique backgrounds, and we’re constantly seeking winemakers whose identities and experiences bring diverse voices and bottles to the table.

An Inclusive and Equitable Workplace

Access to the world’s best wines starts with equal access in our workplace—to resources, opportunity, community, and more. So we strive to foster an inclusive, equitable culture that reflects the diversity of race, gender, age, religion, and sexual orientation in the world around us, empowering our team—through training and ongoing discussions—to embrace our valuable differences.

The Diversity in Wine Scholarship Program

Our Diversity in Wine Scholarship program is the first of its kind. Together with NBA star Josh Hart and Napa Valley Wine Academy, this program offers scholarship opportunities to 100 soon-to-be-experts per year, offering WSET certifications from Level 1 to 3. It’s open to all members of the BIPOC community seeking to launch their wine industry careers.

Ensuring Access for Everyone

Making it easy to explore and enjoy the world of wine means empowering people with disabilities to access our expert selections and resources. Every page on our website features strong contrasting color along with properly and thoughtfully labeled images. The entire site is keyboard navigation friendly and functions at a high zoom level. Additionally, we have the best customer service team in the business, who go above and beyond to ensure that every Wine Access member has an incredible experience.

We strive to provide the best possible experience and test with tools including:

  • Assistive technology testing: Apple VoiceOver, NonVisual Desktop Access (NVDA), Google ChromeVox and High Contast Chrome extension
  • Accessibility auditing: Google Lighthouse and axe DevTools
  • Input testing: Mouse, keyboard and touch.

We take every measure to ensure our Lighthouse accessibility score remains greater than 90% while we work towards our goal of 100% accessibility across all pages of Wine Access. Through human interaction testing, the tools above, and our partnership with leading accessibility compliance company, Level Access, we work continually to identify and address accessibility issues as quickly as possible.

For the best experience, please keep your technology up to date:
